Lauren Lane, DMSc, PA-C, is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant with a passion for providing comprehensive dermatologic care. Originally born in Atlanta, Lauren is excited to return to her Georgia roots after several years of practice in Virginia.
Lauren discovered her interest in science and medicine at an early age. She earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Washington and Lee University before spending three years working as a medical assistant in dermatology, where she developed a deep appreciation for the specialty. She went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Medicine (MPAM) degree from University of Lynchburg and later completed her Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) degree at the same institution.
Over the past several years, Lauren has practiced dermatology in Roanoke, caring for patients of all ages and treating a wide range of skin conditions. She has a particular interest in skin cancer prevention, screenings, and management, as well as the treatment of acne, eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis. Lauren is also passionate about education and has served as a physician assistant student preceptor, helping train the next generation of healthcare providers.
Although the Blue Ridge Mountains will always hold a special place in her heart, Lauren is thrilled to begin this new chapter in Georgia with her husband and their husky. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, baking, hiking, traveling, reading, attending live music events, and spending time with family and friends.
