Sarah Balkcom is a native Georgia resident. She grew up in Peachtree City, where she attended Starr’s Mill High School in Fayetteville. Having been an avid runner throughout high school, she attended Georgia College and State University on a running scholarship and later attended the University of Georgia where she graduated with honors with a degree in dietetics.
Sarah worked as a Medical Assistant for a Dermatology practice, during which time she realized her desire to pursue a career in Dermatology. Sarah graduated from the Augusta University Physician Assistant program in 2018. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants. In her free time Sarah enjoys running, hiking in the Northeast Georgia mountains, traveling, cooking healthy meals, and spending time with friends and family.
