We are pleased to welcome Janna Amato to our growing team of dermatology professionals. A registered nurse with 17 years of experience in cosmetic dermatology and aesthetics, Amato brings extensive expertise, compassionate patient care, and a passion for helping individuals feel confident in their skin.
Originally from Gainesville, Amato recently returned to her hometown. Throughout her career, she has focused on delivering thoughtful, detail-oriented care while building meaningful connections with patients and staying adaptable to new opportunities and advancements in cosmetic dermatology.
Amato earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from South College in Asheville, North Carolina, and has dedicated nearly two decades to helping patients achieve healthy, radiant skin through personalized cosmetic dermatology care. She will be working out of the Gainesville location as a nurse injector. Dermatology Associates of Northeast Georgia offers injectables from BOTOX® Cosmetic and the JUVÉDERM® family of fillers.
She considers it important to educate patients about how consistent habits and professional care can make a lasting difference.
“One of the most rewarding things about helping patients with their skin concerns is when they continue to return for treatment because they have seen results,” Amato says.
When asked what she wishes all patients understood about skin care, Amato shared a simple but important perspective: “
It’s like going to the gym and working out. There is no finish line – it is lifelong maintenance.”
As skin cancer awareness remains a critical health focus, Amato also emphasizes the importance of prevention and early detection. Her top three skin cancer awareness tips include regular dermatology skin exams, wearing sunscreen every day, and consistently reapplying sunscreen throughout the day.
